The auction winners, Jake and Molly Hallow, were at the zoo on Thursday for the unveiling, saying their daughter was the inspiration behind the name. “Mila was a very easy choice for us,” the couple said. “Mila is our daughter’s name, who is quite the giraffe lover, even at her young age. Our Mila, was excited to meet her namesake today.”
